WEBINAR SERIES:

Breathing: Is there a good or a bad way?

Is there one way that’s better than another?

From the moment we pop out of the womb, it’s something that we do without much in the way of an instruction leaflet.

Yet when we start on the wellness journey, or get into movement, meditation or certain therapies, there are ideas that abound around ways to breathe. Whether it be in through the nose and out through the mouth, or is it the other way around? That we should breathe through the belly rather than the chest. Is that right? I’m not sure any more!

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR

Breathing: is there a good or a bad way?

If you’ve ever been confused or unsure about all the different information you’re hearing, this is the place to be.

Why buy this webinar

We've probably all heard someone tell us to 'breathe into our belly' or to 'feel our chest rise and fall.' You may have even been taught that one way of breathing is better than another.

No matter who we are, we all have one thing in common that keeps us alive and that's breathing. But is there a right way, a wrong way or perhaps just a better way of breathing and does the evedicne support this idea?

There is no doubt that many of us underestimate the space that our lungs occupy and the way that they move around inside our chest wall. Also the close relationship they play with the heart is something we might not have considered.

In this session we will look at how we breathe, going inside the chest to observe air going in to lungs, examine some of the aspects that might impact on our breathing and also whether there really is a good or a bad way to breathe.

We'll examine what happens when our lungs stop sliding around and see what that looks like inside the chest cavity.

We'll also look at some simple methods that we can both practice and teach to our clients that will enhance the thing that we do thousands of times every day!

The webinars are all priced to be as accessible as possible to the working therapist at just £12.50 each!

"To 'see' the soft tissue we as therapists think we influence is a privilege. Julian Baker makes all the right connections between the 'tissue' and considerations for therapeutic intervention. Functional Anatomy is a must for all 'hands on' therapists. It is also a must for the 'hands off' body of therapists! Seeing is believing.."

"Captivating, often bizarre and incredible insights into the human body like you have never seen before. Always life changing sessions, questioning the “norm” as we are taught it and bringing new dimensions to your practise.

If you attend one of Julian's classes your working brain will be changed forever - for the better and you will only want to see more!! His humour is also legendary!!"

"I have just participated in the scar tissue dissection course. This is an incredible lesson in anatomy. Julian takes you on a journey thru a human body like you've never been before. It is amazing to see how a human body is really built, how strong, how resilient. Eye-opening and educating. Thank you.

I will be back for more."
