WEBINAR SERIES:

Piriformis and Sciatica

It’s not as big as you might have hoped or thought it might be and it’s not going to do most of what you had been led to believe it could.

Yes it’s the Piriformis. It’s been blessed with its own syndrome and gets the blame for an awful lot of problems. Is this really fair and is there such a thing as Piriformis syndrome anyway?

Can the Piriformis be the root of sciatic pain and if so, what can we do to change it?

In this webinar I will show you the Piraformis like you have NEVER seen it before and show you how it works with some other incredible structures to do its job. We will look at the sciatic nerve and examine how the presentation of sciatic type pain can be better understood, explained and treated.

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR

Sciatica and Piriformis

If you’ve ever been confused or unsure about all the different information you’re hearing, this is the place to be.

Why buy this webinar

Sciatica is a very common complaint from clients, yet it might surprise you to know that technically, true sciatica is very rare. The pain people are experiencing however is still pronounced, sometimes shooting down the leg and creating a lot of discomfort and lack of movement.

In more recent times, therapeutic theory has started to blame the piriformis, even creating a syndrome for it, simply because this small muscle lies in close proximity to the sciatic nerve. Probably unlikely too!

So if it's not sciatica, and the piriformis isn't to blame, what's really going on, how can we explain the problem but also importantly how can we treat the client who is experiencing the issue?

In this session we we look at some of the mechanics and anatomy the area, what the research tells us and what the livekly causes of this all too common problem might be.

The webinars are all priced to be as accessible as possible to the working therapist at just £12.50 each!

Don't just take our word for it...

"To 'see' the soft tissue we as therapists think we influence is a privilege. Julian Baker makes all the right connections between the 'tissue' and considerations for therapeutic intervention. Functional Anatomy is a must for all 'hands on' therapists. It is also a must for the 'hands off' body of therapists! Seeing is believing.."

"Captivating, often bizarre and incredible insights into the human body like you have never seen before. Always life changing sessions, questioning the “norm” as we are taught it and bringing new dimensions to your practise.

If you attend one of Julian's classes your working brain will be changed forever - for the better and you will only want to see more!! His humour is also legendary!!"

"I have just participated in the scar tissue dissection course. This is an incredible lesson in anatomy. Julian takes you on a journey thru a human body like you've never been before. It is amazing to see how a human body is really built, how strong, how resilient. Eye-opening and educating. Thank you.

I will be back for more."
