ABOUT THIS WEBINAR

If you’ve ever been confused or unsure about all the different information you’re hearing, this is the place to be.
Why buy this webinar
There isn't really a single tissue that you can describe as fascia as it covers a whole category of a certain type of connective tissue. Confused?
Fascia IS a fascinating tissue and well worth investigating and understanding, but we need to do this in a way that is meaningful and then use terms and words which will allow a more accurate explanation of what we are actually doing!
This recorded webinar explores fascial release, myofascial release and fascia anatomy, asking what may really be changing when people feel different after hands-on therapy or movement.
The phrase “fascial release” is widely used, but it can be misleading if it suggests that fascia is simply being mechanically freed or melted by touch. The webinar explores more realistic explanations involving sensation, movement, fluid, load, attention and nervous system response.
Myofascial release may create meaningful changes in how someone feels and moves, but that does not automatically mean the fascia itself has been structurally released. The webinar looks at the difference between clinical change and the story we tell about it.
People may feel different after hands-on work because of changes in perception, sensitivity, muscle tone, threat, confidence, fluid movement, attention and movement options. The webinar explores these possibilities without reducing everything to fascia.
This recorded webinar is for therapists, bodyworkers, movement teachers and health practitioners who want a clearer and more evidence-informed way to talk about fascia, touch, movement and manual therapy.

Don't just take our word for it...
"To 'see' the soft tissue we as therapists think we influence is a privilege. Julian Baker makes all the right connections between the 'tissue' and considerations for therapeutic intervention. Functional Anatomy is a must for all 'hands on' therapists. It is also a must for the 'hands off' body of therapists! Seeing is believing.."
"Captivating, often bizarre and incredible insights into the human body like you have never seen before. Always life changing sessions, questioning the “norm” as we are taught it and bringing new dimensions to your practise.
If you attend one of Julian's classes your working brain will be changed forever - for the better and you will only want to see more!! His humour is also legendary!!"
"I have just participated in the scar tissue dissection course. This is an incredible lesson in anatomy. Julian takes you on a journey thru a human body like you've never been before. It is amazing to see how a human body is really built, how strong, how resilient. Eye-opening and educating. Thank you.
I will be back for more."
